Can Onasa Bde - Buffalo in the Trees Lake. During the time of the buffalo hunt, our ancestors chased them onto the lake, where they fell through the thin ice. Our District is a political subdivision of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe and the only District out of the seven that owns and operates its own business. We are proud to be the owners of the Buffalo Lanes Bowling Alley, where we host leagues and tournaments drawing in local residents and out-of-town visitors to Sisseton, South Dakota.
